Modern society is changing at an increasing rate, and many adults find they need continuing education if they want to remain in the work force. For them, it is a way to earn a living. Others have found that returning to school is not necessary, but they are still interested in acquiring more education in subjects that were not covered when they received their formal education. They see the world as a place where learning will be a part of their entire life, and they voluntarily take classes that might have nothing to do with their career.
Returning to school is not always easy for adults, but it is occasionally necessary. Whether a person is taking a class to enhance their life, or they need the information for their career, classes are very different from a formal education as a child. They are expected to do more learning outside the classroom, and they often find it is a better experience.
